Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housing Legal Officer to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our housing services team, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive housing and estate management service, making a positive contribution to our communities.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a Housing and Communities Service: Focus on prompt contact, intervention, and maintaining regular communication with customers throughout the contact lifecycle.
- Ensure a Visible Presence: Deal with estate and tenancy management issues proactively, ensuring a strong presence in the communities.
- Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish and maintain strong links and working relationships with external partners, such as adult social care services, health and wellbeing agencies, and local authorities.
- Work in Partnership: Collaborate with agencies to ensure sustainable communities, signpost, support, and safeguard customers to sustain and manage their tenancies, with an early intervention and prevention ethos.
- Lead Local Approach: Organize events in the area promoting communication, understanding, and improving outcomes for customers.
- Work with In-House Teams: Ensure that communal areas are kept clean and well maintained, ensuring safe and secure homes.
- Promote Mediation and Self-Help: Advise and support customers in cases of neighbor disputes, non-statutory noise complaints, and anti-social behavior.
- Take Prompt Action: Resolve anti-social behavior promptly, using the full range of tools and legal powers available.
- Provide Housing Advice: Offer advice to new and existing customers on housing options and tenancy management.
- Ability to Start at Short Notice: Be available to start work at short notice.
- Customer-Facing Experience: Have experience working in a customer-facing role.
- Operational Knowledge: Possess operational knowledge and understanding of housing law, management, ASB practice management, and neighborhood and community agenda.
- Organizational and IT Skills: Demonstrate good organizational and IT skills.
