Job Title: Education Welfare Officer

We are seeking an experienced Education Welfare Officer to join our team at Aspire People Limited. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the attendance and welfare of students in our schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage attendance data and investigate any missing information to maintain accurate records.
  • Update electronic registration systems daily and investigate any missing data with class teachers.
  • Record student absences and late arrivals, ensuring accurate attendance records.
  • Make initial enquiries with parents/carers regarding unexplained absences/lateness.
  • Monitor student attendance and refer concerns to Pastoral Leaders.
  • Promote good attendance within the school.
  • Process and action student holiday requests.
  • Issue routine correspondence to parents/carers regarding attendance/absence requests.
  • Assist Assistant Headteachers with administration of referrals to the education welfare service/issuing of penalty notices.
  • Liaise with external agencies regarding attendance.
  • Collate attendance data and produce routine reports.
  • Comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, and security.
