Field Service Technician

We are looking for a dedicated Service Engineer to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining and repairing our machinery both at our facility and on client premises.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct maintenance and repair of plant machinery, particularly pumps, within the workshop.
2. Perform extensive repairs on equipment as needed.
3. Refurbish aging machinery to restore functionality and appearance.
4. Assist in the loading and unloading of pumps and generators utilizing a Hi-Ab Lorry Mounted Crane and Forklift Truck.
5. Ensure all machinery is serviced and maintained to meet high standards.
6. Report significant issues to the Foreman or Depot Supervisor.
7. Follow all health and safety protocols within the workshop environment.
8. Adhere to environmental, health, and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment and accident reporting.
Essential Qualifications:
- NVQ, Guilds, or equivalent certification in Mechanics or a related field.
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical roles, with the ability to work autonomously.
- Familiarity with plant machinery, pumps, generators, or similar equipment.
Preferred Background:
- Mechanical Fitters, HGV Mechanics, Car Mechanics, etc.
- Proficiency with diesel engines.
- Valid UK driving license.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
