Their diverse portfolio encompasses projects ranging from residential developments to city centre regeneration, schools, and industrial sites. They pride themselves on seamless project delivery through collaborative efforts across offices, fostering a supportive work environment.

This established consultancy boasts a strong client base ensuring a steady stream of work. However, they are actively seeking an individual with private sector experience to contribute to new business generation and manage client relationships.

Your Role as Associate Director

As an Associate Director, you will play a pivotal role in their leadership team, collaborating closely with urban designers, planning professionals, and support staff. This is an opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead high-profile projects across the private sector, encompassing land promotion to city centre regeneration initiatives.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
  • Generate new business opportunities while nurturing relationships with existing clients.
  • Collaborate effectively with architects, planners, and designers across offices, leveraging outsourcing when necessary.
  • Contribute to the long-term development of the business, embracing opportunities for growth and expansion.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a senior planning role, ideally with private sector expertise.
  • A Planning degree or Masters qualification.
  • MRTPI status.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage projects and generate new business revenue.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • A passionate and ambitious individual with a desire to contribute to the company's success.
