Job Title: Amenity Services Officer

Service: Roads and Infrastructure

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Amenity Services Officer to join our team on the Isle of Islay. The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision and management of all activities in roads maintenance, parks, open spaces, cemeteries, refuse collection, street cleansing, refuse disposal, and Council-operated public conveniences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage all activities in roads maintenance, parks, open spaces, cemeteries, refuse collection, street cleansing, refuse disposal, and Council-operated public conveniences.
  • Undertake winter maintenance and other emergency work as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of standby, overtime, shift work, or call-out rotas.

Requirements: The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have a strong understanding of the principles of waste management and public space maintenance.

Working Hours: This is a permanent post worked Monday to Friday.
