Job Title: Amenity Services Officer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Amenity Services Officer to join our team at Argyll Bute Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision and management of all activities in roads maintenance, parks, open spaces, cemeteries, refuse collection, street cleansing, refuse disposal, and Council operated public conveniences on the Isle of Islay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage all activities in roads maintenance, parks, open spaces, cemeteries, refuse collection, street cleansing, refuse disposal, and Council operated public conveniences on the Isle of Islay.
  • Undertake winter maintenance and other emergency work as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of standby, overtime, shift work, or call-out rotas.

Requirements: The successful candidate will have a strong background in amenity services, excellent leadership and management skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have a strong understanding of health and safety procedures and be able to maintain accurate records and reports.

Working Hours: This is a permanent post worked Monday to Friday.
