Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As an Autism Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a specialist school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and provide specific interventions to aid in the children's learning
  • Facilitate a safe and secure environment for learning to take place
  • Encourage students to achieve their best academically, while also promoting their personal growth
  • Keep track of their academic achievements
  • Have a good understanding of the importance of safeguarding

Requirements:

  • Being kind, caring, and compassionate
  • Having a determination to make a difference in the lives of the students
  • Being patient and willing to adapt your approach to meet the needs of the students
  • Experience working with children and especially children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) will be advantageous but not essential
  • You will need an enhanced DBS check, but don't worry if you don't have one, we can facilitate your application
