Position Overview

Job Title: Financial Analyst

Location: Flexible within the UK

Reporting to: FP&A Manager

Employment Type: Permanent, full-time, hybrid work model

Role Summary

As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in implementing standardized financial planning and reporting practices.

Your main responsibility will be to support the Home & Commercial segment, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of regional trends, forecasting profit and loss, and managing marketing investment tracking processes.

You will be part of an international FP&A team comprising 7 professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for finance teams in the US, ensuring effective communication and clarity regarding financial deliverables for the designated segment.
  • Perform detailed reviews of monthly financial reports to understand variances, profit and loss dynamics, and offer insights to cluster teams for precise reporting.
  • Assist the regional marketing team with inquiries related to category performance, key initiative metrics, and financial modeling for both segments.
  • Manage the marketing investment process by maintaining the Advertising & Promotion (A&P) tracker, coordinating inputs, overseeing non-cluster expenses, and updating forecasts to align with established plans.
  • Contribute significantly to balance sheet management by assisting the FP&A manager with tool implementation, updating forecasts, and engaging in cash flow enhancement initiatives.
  • Provide system support during the transition to Core SAP by maintaining expertise in current ERPs (Core SAP, Oracle, and Mapa SAP), directing queries appropriately, and delivering necessary training on Core SAP functionalities.
  • Support sales forecasting, distribution tracking, and geographical expansion monitoring, while providing comprehensive monthly reports on project performance against established targets.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a finance role, with familiarity in large-scale business month-end and planning processes
  • Proficiency in building and analyzing financial dashboards
  • Strong command of MS Office, particularly advanced Excel skills
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

Desirable:

  • Attention to detail and quality of outputs
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to ask clarifying questions for better understanding of requests or queries
  • Familiarity with PowerBI or similar analytical tools would be advantageous
