Job Description

Leeds Trinity University is seeking an accomplished and proactive professional to fill the role of Clerk of Works. This position will play a vital part in the university's campus construction development, ensuring that all construction works meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and be responsible for overseeing the Clerk of Works (Construction) service across all university locations, inspecting workmanship, quality, and safety of work on construction sites.
  • Develop and maintain detailed reports on progress and quality of workmanship, ensuring that work is carried out to the correct specifications.
  • Undertake onsite audits and ensure that any issues are rectified, ensuring that work meets the required standards.
  • Prepare and present complex and technical statistical analyses, reports, and surveys related to Clerk of Works (Construction) deliverables.
  • Ensure that any deviations from agreed design, plans, materials, and specifications are approved and meet the required standards.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification and experience in a property/built construction environment related discipline.
  • Membership of relevant institutions in a property/built construction environment related discipline.
  • Experience of working within a large professional estates and property team, delivering Clerk of Works deliverables, and specifying, managing, and administrating small to large-scale development projects.
  • Proven ability to work with key professional consultants and contractors, delivering Clerk of Works deliverables.
  • Experience in the Higher and Further Education sector is advantageous.
