Quality Control Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Supervisor to join our client's team in the food industry. As a Quality Control Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the testing and release of raw materials and finished products, as well as leading a small team of QC technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of QC technicians
  • Attend daily update meetings and address issues and concerns
  • Plan and prioritize work efficiently
  • Conduct taste panels and record results
  • Manage reject stock and raise non-conformances for quality rejections
  • Collaborate with the Analytical team for testing requirements
  • Ensure customer requirements for Certificates of Analysis are met
  • Suggest improvements to laboratory practices and processes
  • Acquire knowledge of materials, products, and test procedures
  • Ensure timely external testing and releasing of products
  • Manage the process of releasing stock under micro concession
  • Support the investigation of complaints and resolve quality issues
  • Order consumables for the lab and maintain equipment
  • Take on management responsibilities for specific areas of the factory
  • Complete scheduled and ad hoc internal audits and checks
Requirements:
  • Food Science Graduate or equivalent with knowledge of QC function
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene management
  • Good communication and organization skills
  • Supervisory experience (desirable)
  • Knowledge of HACCP and quality management systems (desirable)
  • Experience in working in a lab environment (desirable)
