Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Unit Lead to join our team at Brighterkind. As a Unit Lead, you will play a key role in managing the unit and leading your team to deliver exceptional care and services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the team to deliver high-quality care and services that promote choice and independence for our residents.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date care records are maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and improve the overall resident experience, including psychological considerations, safe custody of property, pain management, and dignity.
  • Engage with residents, relatives, visitors, and colleagues to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist the Home Manager in the overall management of the Home as required.
  • Develop and manage the Unit staffing rota to ensure safe and appropriate staffing levels, with the correct skill mix.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of accidents and incidents, making recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Experience working in the healthcare sector, preferably in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions.
