Position Overview
Harrogate Integrated Facilities is seeking applications for a Supervisor role within our esteemed Sterile Services Division.
We are looking for a skilled and highly driven professional to join our established technical team, which comprises approximately 40 dedicated staff members. A commitment to collaboration and delivering exceptional customer service is essential.
Our department specializes in the meticulous processing of surgical instruments and flexible endoscopes throughout the decontamination lifecycle, ensuring they are ready for patient use. We handle a significant volume, processing around 180,000 surgical instruments and 1,500 flexible endoscopes each month.
Key Responsibilities
As a Supervisor, you will be expected to uphold a strong focus on quality, ensuring adherence to all quality protocols and the quality manual consistently.
You will oversee the Sterile Services team, managing the reprocessing of medical devices for clinical application, in compliance with the Medical Device Directive 93/42 EEC, ISO 9001:2008, and ISO 13485:2003. Additionally, you will work within the framework of our internal quality management systems and the current departmental work instructions.
The working hours will be as per the contract and specified by the department's scheduling system. The Supervisor will be required to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as dictated by departmental needs.

Essential Qualifications
- Qualification in Healthcare Scientist Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Health - Decontamination
- Proficiency in all areas of the sterile services department
- Experience with quality systems and record-keeping
- Familiarity with ISO standards
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required
Desirable Qualifications
- Formal training in Leadership or equivalent experience in team management
- Experience in handling challenging situations
