Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Meridian Business Support is working in partnership with a college in the Merseyside area to provide Learning Support Assistants to work with their SEND students, offering support with their lessons and lectures.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Implement specialist support for individuals as per their Support Plan.
  • Enable students to overcome barriers to learning by employing appropriate teaching and learning strategies.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of specialist support and provide feedback to the Learner Support Manager.
  • Assist with the physical and emotional needs of students and manage changing behaviors.
  • Encourage independence by giving choices and prompting.
  • Monitor and record support logs for individual students on ProMonitor.
