Position: Manufacturing Engineer / Manufacturing Process Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 per annum based on experience

Premier Engineering is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Berkshire area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in manufacturing processes and engineering principles.


Key Qualifications:
  • Relevant NVQ/HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, such as Manufacturing Engineer or Production Engineer.
  • In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with FMEA, PPAP, and APQP processes.
  • Experience in Document Control and Bill of Materials (BOM) generation.
  • Knowledge of HSE and COSHH regulations is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in ISO9001 quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small team.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the engineering and production teams in product manufacturing and development.
  • Coordinate New Product Introductions (NPI).
  • Provide engineering support for production operations.
  • Develop and prepare work instructions for manufacturing processes.
  • Engage in process development initiatives.
  • Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations in all processes.
  • Create and update Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Ensure appropriate jigs, fixtures, and tooling are utilized in all operations.
  • Compile and present monthly performance reports.
  • Conduct offsite visits to suppliers as necessary.
