Job Title: Senior Residential Care Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Residential Care Worker to join our team at Brook Street Social Care. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a vital role in the daily lives of our young people, using a restorative approach to inspire positive change and enable them to grow up and make a positive contribution to their family and wider community.

About the Role

As a Senior Practitioner, you will be the lead practitioner for the staff team, responsible for leading and managing a team of care practitioners who have a vital role in the daily lives and long-term outlook for the vulnerable young people in our care. You will work closely with the young people, their families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet their unique needs and promote their well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of care practitioners to deliver high-quality care and support to young people
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each young person
  • Work closely with young people, their families, and other professionals to promote their well-being and achieve positive outcomes
  • Use a restorative approach to inspire positive change and promote resilience in young people
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the well-being and safety of young people
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good understanding of child and adolescent development, a restorative approach, and relevant experience
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with young people, their families, and other professionals
  • A commitment to promoting the well-being and safety of young people, and to working in a way that is respectful and inclusive of their needs and experiences
