Job Title: Class 1 Day Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Class 1 Day Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Day Driver, you will be responsible for making multi-drop palletised deliveries and collections to and from businesses and private addresses around the South West.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security
  • Planning route on a day-to-day basis
  • Complete daily vehicle checks on your company phone
  • Working closely with the network hubs
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations
  • Attending regular training sessions

Essential Skills:

  • Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service
  • Working to deadlines
  • Confident, polite and a team player
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated

Benefits:

  • Salary for Class 1 Day Driver is between £34,000 - £39,000 per annum and more depending on hours worked
  • Hours of work are Monday – Friday, 48 hours per week, from 10:00hrs – 19:00hrs
  • Occasional Saturday working will be required
