Job Title: Class 1 Day Driver

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Day Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a Class 1 Day Driver, you will be responsible for making multi-drop palletised deliveries and collections to and from businesses and private addresses around the South West.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring load security
  • Planning routes on a day-to-day basis
  • Completing daily vehicle checks on company phones
  • Working closely with network hubs
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing customer expectations
  • Attending regular training sessions
Requirements:
  • Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) driving licence
  • Hold a current DCPC card and digital tachograph driver card
  • Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service
  • Working to deadlines
  • Confident, polite, and a team player
  • Good geographical knowledge
  • Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated
Benefits:
  • Salary: £34,346pa - £39,353pa and more, depending on hours worked
  • Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 48 hours per week, from 10:00hrs - 19:00hrs
  • Occasional Saturday working will be required
