As a Welcome Manager at the National Trust, you will be responsible for leading a team of welcome staff and volunteers at Morston Quay. Your primary goal will be to deliver an exceptional visitor experience, ensuring that our guests have a memorable and enjoyable visit. You will work closely with the Visitor Experience & Operations Manager to develop the site offer and ensure that all aspects of the welcome area are running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of up to five Welcome & Service Assistants and volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Develop and implement effective strategies to engage with visitors, inspire support through membership, and help them enjoy their stay.
• Manage the day-to-day operation of the welcome area, ensuring the delivery of the highest standards of service and visitor experience.
• Collaborate with the local community to grow support for the site and work closely with stakeholders to develop the site offer.

Requirements

• Good practical experience in visitor business, tourist, heritage, or relevant visitor services environment.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
• Confident leader, adaptable and responsive, with the ability to initiate service recovery without senior support.
• Good IT skills, with proficiency in MS Office.
