About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Welcome Manager to lead our team of welcome staff and volunteers at Morston Quay. As the most senior person on site, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and leading on risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of up to five Welcome & Service Assistants and volunteers, ensuring their safety and working practices.
  • Develop the site offer in collaboration with the Visitor Experience & Operations Manager.
  • Ensure the delivery of the highest standards of service and visitor experience, using good judgement and decision making.
  • Engage with all visitors to inspire support through membership and help them enjoy their stay.
  • Manage the income and compliance for the boat park on site.

Requirements

  • Good practical experience in visitor business, tourist, heritage or relevant visitor services environment.
  • Naturally curious about people, with a passion to deliver the highest standards of customer service.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Confident leader, adaptable and responsive under pressure.
  • Ability to initiate service recovery without senior support.
  • Good IT skills (all MS Office).
