Job Overview

We are currently recruiting a Lead Tooling/Mechanical Design Engineer to support one of our Marine customers on a rolling contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage current production processes to improve Quality, Cost, and Time.
  • Support planning and the introduction of new products and processes.
  • Good CAD knowledge in creating both 2D and 3D manufacturing data sets.
  • Liaise with 'in-house' production to fully understand the end requirement and function.
  • Create Tooling specification and requirements document.
  • Liaise with and support design and manufacture supply chain.
  • Attend design reviews, 'Factory Acceptance Tests' (FAT), 'Site Acceptance Tests' (SAT), and Tool trials where applicable.

Requirements

  • Negotiable hourly rate based on experience, seniority, etc.
  • The role is outside of IR35.

The successful candidate will be based with the customer and will report directly to the Programme Delivery Lead.
