About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Programme Delivery team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects across various subject areas, ensuring delivery to meet quality standards, on budget, and within prescribed timescales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall management for projects, including procurement and implementation.
  • Manage, facilitate, and monitor progress of projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met.
  • Manage performance improvement and service development, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes.
  • Manage teams of project staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Project Scope

Projects will range in cost from £5,000 to £1,000,000, impacting staff numbers from 5 to 10,000. Projects may last several weeks to over one year, with staff involved in core project teams typically ranging from 5 to 7, and larger projects encompassing 30 to 40 staff from various professional groups.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of specific areas, acquired through degree or equivalent experience or training, plus further staff and project management knowledge to postgraduate diploma level equivalent.
  • Degree or significant project management experience.
  • Qualification and experience in project management methodology to PRINCE2 Practitioner level or equivalent.
