About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwife Practitioner to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a Tongue-Tie Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing an efficient tongue-tie assessment and frenulotomy service to our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the Tongue-tie Baby Feeding Specialist to provide a comprehensive service
  • Conduct tongue-tie assessments and perform frenulotomies as required
  • Ensure all procedures are carried out in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct and other professional guidelines
  • Provide expert advice and support to patients on breastfeeding and baby feeding
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for our patients
Requirements
  • Substantial experience working within the NHS or a similar environment as a Tongue-tie Practitioner/Baby Feeding Specialist
  • Advanced baby feeding skills and expertise in breastfeeding and best practice standards
  • Knowledge of counselling skills, teaching and learning, and the Baby Friendly initiative standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
