We are seeking a highly skilled Health Services Research Fellow to join our team at Post Apotheke Kassel. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating the ethical and social implications of Large Language Models (LLMs) in various contexts, including healthcare, justice, and education.
Key Responsibilities- Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on the ethical and social implications of LLMs, including their potential risks and benefits. This will involve analyzing existing literature, conducting human-computer interaction studies, and developing uncertainty quantification methods.
- Theoretical Framework Development: Collaborate with our team to develop a comprehensive theoretical framework for understanding the social and ethical implications of LLMs.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Liaise with The Centre for Language AI Research at Tohoku University to coordinate collaborative research efforts and ensure the successful completion of the project.
- Project Planning and Management: Plan and organize all project meetings, workshops, and conferences to ensure the project stays on track and meets its objectives.
- Communication and Dissemination: Participate in national and international conferences and workshops to present the results of the project to academic, policy, and practice audiences. Additionally, draft and submit final project reports and journal articles for publication.
- Education: PhD awarded in Philosophy or Computer Science.
- Expertise: Specialist knowledge in a relevant area(s) and demonstrated ability to engage with relevant computer science literature.
- Research Experience: Proven experience in research as demonstrated through published results of research in peer-reviewed journals or books.
- Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills, able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Interest in AI: A keen interest and ability to work with computer scientists and organize cross-disciplinary research and workshops.
- Publishing: Wishes to develop sole-authored and/or co-authored publications in the areas of Ethics and social implications of large language models.
