About the Role

Wayman Group is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher for a long-term contract. In this role, you will engage with students aged 10-11, guiding them through their educational journey and preparing them for their SATs examinations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that motivate and challenge Year 5 students.
  • Organize and plan educational schemes in accordance with the school’s curriculum and national standards.
  • Evaluate and assess student progress through various formative and summative assessment methods.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress.
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning atmosphere.
  • Effectively communicate with parents, guardians, and other educational professionals.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent certification.
  • Current knowledge of the primary school curriculum and national teaching standards.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience teaching Year 5 students.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for education and commitment to student welfare.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities.
