About the Role

The company, a leading manufacturer based in the UK, is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the monthly close cycle, ensuring financial and statutory reporting is complete to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation and posting of journals, ensuring proper authorization and relevant documentation is attached.
  • Assist with audit requests and perform monthly closing steps, including foreign exchange and depreciation.
  • Ensure all reconciliations are completed accurately and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare account reconciliations, ensuring processes are complete.
  • Conduct intercompany reconciliations, including balance sheet, P&L, interest, and loans.
  • Perform inventory/stock reconciliations and assist with capital expenditure.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly reporting.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in manufacturing and have worked in a similar role. They will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
