About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our Audit Quality Directorate (AQD) in an exciting period of growth and expansion. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our audit quality function and contributing to the delivery of high-quality audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute audit and audit-related projects, including CASS, with a focus on the asset management and capital markets sector.
  • Develop and implement audit methodologies and best practices to ensure consistent high-quality audits.
  • Collaborate with audit advisory directors and other stakeholders to identify and address technical issues and improve audit quality.
  • Provide training and coaching to peers and review audit files to ensure compliance with auditing standards.
  • Contribute to the development of audit quality policies and procedures and ensure their effective implementation.
Requirements
  • ACA or similar professional accountancy qualification.
  • Significant current hands-on practical asset management and capital markets audit/CASS experience.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a small team and use own initiative.
  • Ability to think outside the box and pioneer in using existing methodology and best practice to develop new approaches.
  • Wide-ranging practical experience regarding application of ISAs and audit methodology is essential; experience in IT auditing techniques would be an added advantage.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience of training design, development, and delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own work.
