We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pharmacist to lead our Post-Acute Medicine team at King's College Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services to patients across a range of specialties.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Post-Acute Medicine team, ensuring the delivery of excellent patient care and outcomes.
- Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services to support the needs of patients and staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and discharge planning.
- Provide expert clinical guidance and support to junior pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development of local guidelines and protocols to improve patient care.
- Assist in the financial management of the pharmacy department and ensure effective budgeting and resource allocation.
- Work closely with the Principal Pharmacist, Post-Acute Medicine to extend the boundaries of professional practice within the Care Group.
- MPharm (Masters Degree) or equivalent qualification.
- Registered Pharmacist with 1 year competency assessed and examined professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Working towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or Clinical Pharmacy.
- Registered Independent Prescriber or willingness to complete.
- Member of the RPS faculty.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Appropriate post-registration experience in hospital pharmacy or equivalent area of practice with assessed competencies.
- Experience of supervising others.
- Experience of practice research or audit.
- Experience of multi-disciplinary team working.
- Experience of delivering training and education at postgraduate level.
- Experience of protocol/guideline development.
- Specialist clinical knowledge and skills relevant to area of practice.
- Maintains a broad level of pharmacy practice.
- Previous relevant specialist clinical experience.
- Demonstration of advanced practice using evidence mapped to the RPS Advanced Practice Framework.
