About the Role
The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Supervisor to join our operational Facilities Management team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the daily delivery of an efficient and effective customer-focused quality service in accordance with the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of support service assistants in delivering excellent cleanliness standards, housekeeping, and domestic services.
- Train, monitor, and supervise facilities staff in all elements of their role.
- Work collaboratively with key partners, support clinical teams, and establish and maintain good working relationships.
- Monitor areas of responsibility to ensure service standards are consistently delivered in line with National Cleaning Standards.
- Support the reduction in food wastage and maintain a safe working environment for self and others.
Person Specification
Essential
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Good standard of education in England and Maths.
- Awareness of own limitations.
- Ability to satisfy Occupational Health screening.
Desirable
- Experience of working within a healthcare setting.
- Awareness of Health & Safety issues.
- Awareness of Moving & Handling issues.
