Your Role as a Healthcare Assistant
As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with the nursing staff to deliver exceptional patient care. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of clinical tasks, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the overall well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct new patient health checks and provide support for health promotion programs.
- Perform routine observations, including pulse oximetry, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate, accurately recording findings.
- Assist with the management of chronic disease clinics and facilitate routine and 24-hour blood pressure monitoring.
- Undertake wound care, dressings, and other clinical tasks as required, adhering to established protocols.
- Act as a chaperone when necessary and assist with pre-screening checks for diabetic patients.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the practice by assisting with administrative tasks and maintaining accurate patient records.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Healthcare qualification (level 3 or 4) or working towards gaining equivalent level.
- Phlebotomy certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
