We are seeking a highly skilled Metocean Engineer to join our expanding survey team, based in the southwest of the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of successful projects offshore.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver technical projects, including equipment knowledge and experience of deploying metocean instrumentation in coastal and offshore regions.
- Prepare project documentation in line with legislation and regulation, industry best practice, client requirements, and our own high standards.
- Conduct planned and preventative maintenance, test and inspection, calibration, and setup of specialist instrumentation and oceanographic and metocean moorings.
- Be an integral part of the metocean team in project preparation, mobilisation, and servicing of seabed deployed oceanographic equipment, floating systems, and fixed systems.
- Education to level 3 or above in science, engineering, electrical, or mechanical disciplines, or a degree in an oceanographic-related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years' industry experience in a relevant technical or engineering role.
- Experience with writing risk assessments and method statements.
- Practical workboat experience, including experience of lifting operations.
- Fluent in English (spoken, reading, and writing).
- Full driving license (manual).
- A willingness to travel, predominantly in the UK and Europe, but also further afield as we expand globally.
