About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Metocean Engineer to join our expanding survey team, based in the southwest of the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of successful projects offshore.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver technical projects, including equipment knowledge and experience of deploying metocean instrumentation in coastal and offshore regions.
  • Prepare project documentation in line with legislation and regulation, industry best practice, client requirements, and our own high standards.
  • Conduct planned and preventative maintenance, test and inspection, calibration, and setup of specialist instrumentation and oceanographic and metocean moorings.
  • Be an integral part of the metocean team in project preparation, mobilisation, and servicing of seabed deployed oceanographic equipment, floating systems, and fixed systems.
Requirements
  • Education to level 3 or above in science, engineering, electrical, or mechanical disciplines, or a degree in an oceanographic-related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years' industry experience in a relevant technical or engineering role.
  • Experience with writing risk assessments and method statements.
  • Practical workboat experience, including experience of lifting operations.
  • Fluent in English (spoken, reading, and writing).
  • Full driving license (manual).
  • A willingness to travel, predominantly in the UK and Europe, but also further afield as we expand globally.
