Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Adult Community Mental Health Team. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients with complex mental health needs.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, providing specialist mental health services to adults in the community. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, and psychosis.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients. You will also be responsible for leading and managing a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and diagnose patients with complex mental health needs
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families
- Provide high-quality medical care to patients, including medication management and psychotherapy
- Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
- Full registration with the General Medical Council
- Eligibility for inclusion on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council or within 6 months of CCST/CCT or equivalent in Adult Psychiatry
- Section 12 (2) Approval and Approved Clinician Status or demonstrated ability to gain approval within a reasonable timeframe
- MB, ChB, MBBS or equivalent
- Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
