Position Overview

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a motivated manufacturing engineer to join our advanced manufacturing division, focusing on electric vehicle powertrain initiatives. This role encompasses the assembly of Electric Drive Units (EDU), eMachines, and battery systems. As part of this dynamic team, you will contribute to groundbreaking electrification projects for a prestigious lineup of electric vehicles. You will play a pivotal role in the adoption of innovative manufacturing technologies for electric propulsion systems. Your strong communication skills and results-oriented mindset will be essential as you collaborate with suppliers, customers, and various departments.

This position offers significant opportunities for personal and professional development within a consultancy that partners with diverse clients and industries. Additionally, there may be opportunities for periodic travel across Europe and beyond to collaborate with leading technology suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your expertise to design and implement assembly and in-process testing procedures to meet safety, quality, and cost targets.
  • Develop and execute detailed installation timelines in collaboration with key suppliers.
  • Ensure comprehensive process planning, including build simulations and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
  • Verify assembly processes and equipment at supplier locations and manufacturing facilities.
  • Address technical challenges and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Meet equipment capability and availability objectives.
  • Assist in resolving technical challenges as required.
  • Plan, develop, and document all manufacturing processes along with the necessary tooling, jigs, and fixtures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in manufacturing and engineering processes, with a hands-on approach.
  • Experience in facility installation, project management, capability validation, commissioning, and product launches.
  • Ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams and adapt to support projects from initial concepts to launch.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for reviewing engineering drawings and models (e.g., Catia V6 & Teamcentre).
  • Understanding of safe automated and manual manufacturing systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for addressing technical and manufacturing challenges.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in project management.
  • Familiarity with process creation systems.
  • Highly motivated and capable of working independently.

Qualifications:

Ideally, candidates should possess a degree, HNC, or HND in Manufacturing Systems or a related engineering discipline. However, individuals with relevant experience will also be considered.
