Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cost Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the preparation of cost estimates for projects at various phases, including FEED and detailed design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed cost estimates for projects.
  • Prepare and present estimate reports and presentations to clients.
  • Lead the cost interface with clients and ensure effective communication.
  • Liaise with contractors and vendors to gather input for estimates.
  • Coordinate estimating activities with other disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Attend internal and external project review meetings to ensure project progress and identify potential issues.
  • Contribute to project plans and schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Identify scope of work required to undertake a project and estimate deliverables and hours required.

Key Competencies, Skills, and Knowledge

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant cost estimating experience.
  • Engineering degree or relevant industry experience.
  • Understanding of engineering deliverables feeding into a Material Take-Off / Bill of Quantities.
  • Demonstrated capability in one or more of the following industries: Refining, Petrochemical, Fuel Storage Terminals, Sustainable Fuels, Hydrogen.
  • Competent in the use of MS Office applications.
  • Exposure to mentoring of junior team members and apprentices.
  • Commercial and contracts experience.
