Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our Housing Management and Property Litigation Team. As a Paralegal, you will support our Solicitors and handle your own caseload, working on a variety of cases related to property litigation and housing management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Solicitors and manage files, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Draft claim forms, pleadings, and witness statements, demonstrating strong legal research and drafting skills.
  • Handle multiple case deadlines efficiently, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Prepare trial bundles and liaise with the Court, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Conduct routine advocacy in County Court, representing the firm with confidence and professionalism.
  • Organize and maintain accurate files, adhering to strict confidentiality and data protection protocols.
  • Occasionally undertake site visits, gathering information and evidence to support case development.

Requirements:

  • Law degree (minimum 2:2) or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in law and legal principles.
  • Strong legal research and drafting skills, with the ability to analyze complex information and present findings effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities, with a proven track record of working effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to adapt to new software and systems quickly.
  • Customer service oriented, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional results and exceeding client expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • LPC (Legal Practice Course) or equivalent, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in law and legal practice.
  • Experience working with Registered Providers or private landlords, with a strong understanding of the housing management and property litigation landscape.
  • Familiarity with County Court procedures and DMS (Document Management System), with the ability to navigate complex systems and protocols.
