Machine Operator Laminator

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator Laminator to join our team at SkillsHouse Bradford. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating our laminating machine to produce high-quality solid board sheets for food packaging companies.
Main Responsibilities
• Operate the laminating machine to produce solid board sheets to specified quality standards.
• Maintain the glue system and ensure the machine is cleaned between orders and at the end of each day.
• Monitor and fine-tune machine running speeds to achieve targets and customer deliveries.
• Coordinate with the team leaders and planning team to maximize reel changeovers and output.
• Reduce machine downtime by providing feedback to the engineering team to maximize running time and output.
• Perform weekly routine maintenance cleaning down the machine to maintain high BRC standards.
• Learn and operate other process lines and machines as part of the company's training and development plans.
Requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and laminating experience are essential.
• A team player with a quality-focused approach to produce top-quality board.
• KPI-focused to deliver required outputs for customers.
• Experience within the packaging industry and machine operating experience are desirable.
