Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant Wanted

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teach Now. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a multicultural primary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support for students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met and they have access to a tailored learning environment.
- Assist teachers with classroom management, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning space for all students.
- Help develop students' English language skills, using a range of strategies to support language acquisition and fluency.
- Support students with learning activities, adapting tasks to meet their unique needs and abilities.
- Work with teachers to develop appropriate learning strategies for students, ensuring they have the support they need to succeed.
- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN, building strong relationships and promoting positive outcomes.
- Identify and assess individual student needs, working with teachers to create a comprehensive support plan.
- Contribute to the creation of an inclusive learning environment, promoting diversity and celebrating individual differences.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children who have SEN, with a strong understanding of their needs and challenges.
- Experience working with children who have English as an additional language, with a ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet their needs.
- A good understanding of different cultures, with a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, students, and parents.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students.
- Flexibility and a willingness to learn, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Speak an additional language/languages, with a ability to communicate effectively with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
