The Role:

In this pivotal role within the Incubator group, you will report directly to the Finance Director, contributing significantly to the planning and analysis of activities across all Incubator entities.

Key Responsibilities:

General Duties:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze budget variances and trends.
  • Assist stakeholders in understanding financial priorities to effectively manage risks and opportunities.
  • Support monthly management reporting, including participation in financial review meetings and preparation of management packs with relevant commentary.
  • Facilitate budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
  • Oversee the maintenance of systems and the collection of reporting from subsidiary finance teams.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and projects as needed.

Management Accounting:

  1. Utilize performance management across the business and technological landscape as part of strategic planning.
  2. Direct company performance by selecting and measuring key financial and non-financial indicators.

Stakeholder Relationship Management:

  1. Foster positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Effectively communicate and secure commitment from stakeholders.

Strategy and Innovation:

  1. Apply business acumen to achieve organizational objectives.
  2. Propose strategic options for sustainable planning and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Strong academic background, recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

Experience: Previous experience in FP&A, Business Analyst, or Management Accountant roles, with exceptional analytical skills and strong commercial awareness, demonstrating a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Macros, and Power BI.
