Position Overview
Concept Resources is currently seeking a Child Welfare Support Specialist to join our dedicated team focused on assisting children in care and young adults transitioning from care. This is a full-time temporary role offering competitive compensation, including holiday pay.

Role Responsibilities:
The primary function of this position is to facilitate safe and meaningful interactions between children in our care and their families or significant others. These sessions will occur in community settings or designated family support centers. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle, with reimbursement for essential travel costs.

Key Objectives:
To support Social Work Teams in delivering high-quality services that enhance the well-being of children and their families.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Assist Social Work Teams with case management to ensure children and families receive consistent and integrated support of the highest quality.
  2. Provide accurate information for reports, meetings, and conferences, adhering to established standards.
  3. Maintain rigorous safeguarding protocols for children, promptly reporting any concerns to the designated supervisor.
  4. Update and manage both electronic and paper records in line with organizational guidelines, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of information.
  5. Participate in family-related meetings to contribute to collaborative decision-making.
  6. Foster effective working relationships with external partners, agencies, and other departments to enhance practices and outcomes for children and families.
  7. Manage petty cash in accordance with financial regulations and procedures.
  8. Contribute to maintaining a safe and secure environment, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
  9. Promote and implement the organization's Equality Policy in all aspects of service delivery.

Qualifications:
Applicants must provide documentation proving their right to work, a verified employment history or educational background for the last three years, a recent Children Barred List Check, two professional references, and an Enhanced DBS check completed within the last year.
