Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Female Personal Assistant to support a child with autism in a dynamic and rewarding role at Disability North.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide one-to-one support to the child, enabling her to develop her independence and participate in various activities, such as trampoline parks, play centers, and outdoor adventures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to the child, including assistance with daily living tasks
  • Accompany the child to various activities, such as trampoline parks, play centers, and outdoor adventures
  • Use PECS, a Now and Next board, and gestures to communicate with the child
  • Support the child in developing her independence and participating in activities that promote her physical and emotional well-being

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a highly skilled and compassionate individual with experience working with children with autism. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with the child using PECS, a Now and Next board, and gestures.
