Skilled Production Operative

Job Title: Skilled Production Operative
Location: Yorkshire
We are seeking a skilled production operative to join our team in the prep area, working on a days-only basis. As a skilled production operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.
Main Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance of the Area Manager, ensure that each product specification is followed, and any anomalies are reported immediately.
- Ensure that any production targets set by the Area Manager are met; or if this is not possible, shortfalls are reported to the relevant person in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and tidy area (work, changing room, canteen etc), meeting both safety and hygiene regulations of the site.
- Wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times within the Production Area.
- Report any equipment defects immediately to the Area Supervisor / Team Leader.
- Behave in a safe and appropriate manner at all times.
- Assist during internal / external audits as required.
- Adhere to all Company Rules and Policies.
- Maintain high levels of work performance including attendance, timekeeping etc.
Candidate Requirements:
- Reliable with a can-do attitude.
- Good standard of English.
- Basic understanding of health & safety.
- Experience of working in food production, an advantage.
- Self-motivated and a team player.
- Basic numeric & literacy skills.
