This role involves reporting to senior management and thriving in a fast-paced setting, where you will be responsible for the preparation and evaluation of management reports, monthly financial statements, and claims, in addition to supervising the Finance Assistant.
Main Responsibilities- Preparing and evaluating management reports, monthly financial statements, and claims.
- Overseeing cash flow management, balance sheet reconciliations, and Fixed Asset registers.
- Assisting with the annual audit process and compliance initiatives.
- Maintaining retention schedules and recharges for Build Partners.
- Collaborating with budget holders to ensure effective financial oversight.
- Leading finance-related projects and contributing to system enhancements.
- Supervising the Finance Assistant and managing supplier payments.
- Coordinating and participating in stock takes as necessary.
- ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or fully qualified.
- Demonstrated experience in a Finance Department, particularly in Management Accounts production.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
- Strong understanding of Accounting principles, Financial Control, and Sage 200 Accounts.
- Experience in process management and the implementation of control procedures.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the capability to manage your workload effectively.
- Self-motivated team player with robust collaboration skills across various departments.
- Adept at creating and refining processes efficiently.
