About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Qualiteach Ltd. as an ASD Teaching Assistant in a Resource Base setting. The successful candidate will be supporting students of secondary ages who primarily have a diagnosis of Autism.
About the Students:
The students we support have a primary diagnosis of Autism, with many also having a secondary diagnosis of SEMH. Due to the high level of SEN, it is essential that the successful candidate has previous experience working in a SEN setting.
About the School:
The Resource Base is part of an Outstanding mainstream secondary school, described as 'exceptional'. The school caters to over 1,000 students and has fantastic transport links.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with Autism in a Resource Base setting
- Working with secondary aged children who have a diagnosis of Autism
- Providing support to students with SEMH needs
- Collaborating with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized education plans
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a SEN setting
- Experience supporting students with Autism
- Ability to work collaboratively with the teaching team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
