Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IBA Accounts Assistant to join our team at Reed Accountancy & Finance. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our clients in the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash Management: Ensure accurate and timely cash matching and allocation of funds.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare statements for underwriters, clients, and third-party accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Credit Control: Chase outstanding premiums and request breakdowns for un-reconciled receipts, then allocate entries once received.
  • Payment Processing: Prepare payment runs for clients and underwriters and submit them for directors' approval.
  • Financial Analysis: Run fortnightly credit control reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Customer Service: Address queries from banks, clients, and brokers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Document Management: File all relevant documentation, including bank statements, remittance advices, and correspondence.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in accounting and financial services, preferably in the insurance sector.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
