About the Role

This is a key position within City Facilities Management Holdings Ltd, responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple site locations.

As a Maintenance Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for all maintenance issues, responding promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk.

Your primary objective will be to complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.

You will also be responsible for delivering reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance, conducting emergency lighting tests and repairs, and following the purchase order process.

Additionally, you will identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery, advise the Line Manager of findings, and recommend suitable replacements.

It is essential to maintain compliance documentation and ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is up-to-date at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete the PPM schedule within agreed timescales
  • Respond promptly to service call requests
  • Deliver reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance
  • Conduct emergency lighting tests and repairs
  • Follow the purchase order process
  • Identify non-repairable faults and recommend replacements
  • Maintain compliance documentation

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be educated to GCSE/Standard Grade level as a minimum, ideally holding NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.

You should also possess City and Guilds 2382 17th Edition or 18th edition (new) certification, as well as experience in maintaining and repairing a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment.
