Financial Director

Trial Balance Consulting is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-established and fast-growing Cornish hospitality business. The role is a full-time assignment with a fixed duration of 3 months, with potential to convert to a permanent contract at completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Produce high-quality monthly management accounts, including commentary
- Work closely with the Finance Director and management team to provide financial insights
- Supervise a small team of transactional accounting colleagues
- Produce cash flow forecasts and budgets
- Analysis of past month performance to identify KPIs, opportunities, trends, and potential risks
- Research cost reduction initiatives
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Analysis of project costings
- VAT reporting and submission
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including banks and auditors
The ideal candidate will have recently gained experience in producing high-quality management accounts and running a highly efficient finance function. A sound working knowledge of MS Excel and digital accounting platforms is essential. Excellent team-working and communication skills are required.
