Hearst UK is a leading publisher with a growing portfolio of digital products. We're seeking a talented and experienced UX Designer to join our new product, design, and engineering team and play a crucial role in creating user-centric designs for our apps and websites.

In this role, you will be responsible for the entire user experience lifecycle, from user research and information architecture to creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.

About the Role
  • Conduct user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs and pain points.
  • Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups and prototypes using industry-standard design tools.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to translate design into actionable development plans.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles throughout the development process.
  • Be comfortable adapting to changing priorities and evolving project requirements.
  • Stay up to date on the latest UX trends and technologies.
  • Proactively identify and suggest improvements to existing products and processes.
  • Effectively communicate design decisions and rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
About You
  • 3+ years of experience as a UX Designer or similar role.
  • Proven experience in designing user interfaces for both web and mobile applications.
  • Experience with CSS, HTML, and/or other web programming technologies.
  • Knowledge and use of prototyping tools (Sketch, InVision, Zeplin, or others).
  • The ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
