We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Catheter Lab at Raigmore Hospital, part of NHS Highland.

The Cardiac Catheter Lab is a dynamic and fast-paced department that provides 24/7 acute cardiac care to the people of NHS Highland. Our team offers a round-the-clock primary PCI service to patients with acute coronary syndrome and a busy elective coronary angiography service.

As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will assist the consultant cardiologist in undertaking PCI and other implanted cardiac devices such as pacemakers and implanted cardiac defibrillators. You will work closely with our colleagues in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) to provide high-quality pre and post-procedure care to these patients.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Assisting the consultant cardiologist in PCI and other cardiac device procedures
  • Working collaboratively with the CCU team to provide seamless patient care
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
