About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our team at Mace, a leading international construction and infrastructure development company. As a key member of our senior construction delivery team, you will be responsible for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advocate for Mace's value of safety first and champion a diverse and inclusive working environment.
  • Build relationships with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, and support the construction lead in turning client vision into a deliverable onsite plan.
  • Plan, manage, monitor, and coordinate construction works, reporting to the construction site director.
  • Support the review and approval of contractor risk management by the PC team.
  • Develop and implement the construction phase plan and ensure compliance on site.
  • Monitor site to ensure suitable welfare facilities are provided and maintained throughout the construction phase.
  • Support and ensure all workers have site-specific inductions and necessary training.
Requirements
  • Degree or industry-recognised qualification in construction management, civil engineering, or similar related sector.
  • SMSTS or IOSH qualification holder.
  • Experience on medium to large-scale infrastructure civil projects.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety and CDM requirements.
  • Ability to build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
