About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Pensions & Retirement product development team in building market-leading solutions for our clients.

This is an opportunity to join the UK's number one investment services company, looking after over £149.7 billion in assets on behalf of more than 1.86 million UK investors.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building and running AWS Cloud-native applications with TypeScript and React, establishing and maintaining automated tests for the changes being implemented, and writing high-quality, secure, tested, and performant code.

You will also be expected to upskill and provide coaching and mentoring to peers and more junior members of the team, work collaboratively with others in a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality digital client journeys, and advocate for continuous improvement within the team.

About You

We are looking for a professional with experience in AWS, TypeScript, React, IaC, CI/CD, and unit, integration, and end-to-end testing tools and practices.

You should have a strong understanding of microservices and principles of RESTful API development, including structuring, documenting, versioning, testing, and stubbing/mocking.

Able to write, assist in writing, or reviewing technical documentation, and advocate for excellent development practices to optimize for rapid and continuous delivery of client value.
