Position Overview:

This position is part of the Managed Services division within the broader Technical Services unit. Our portfolio of SaaS, distributed systems, and product integrations supports our clients in managing their operations, delivering top-tier hospitality technology products to their customers.

As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, you will leverage your expertise within a fast-paced team, engaging with various stakeholders and clients to design, implement, and maintain the systems that underpin our industry-leading solutions. Your role will ensure that our systems are consistently available, secure, and perform optimally according to client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Foster strong, collaborative relationships, acting as a liaison between internal development and platform teams.
  2. Architect, deploy, and sustain resilient, self-healing, and highly available platforms within the Azure Cloud and our On-Premises Data Center.
  3. Balance functional, operational, and ongoing management needs effectively.
  4. Play a pivotal role in delivering solutions to clients alongside our Development partners.
  5. Approach problem-solving with a pragmatic mindset, simplifying complexities to provide reliable, secure, and cost-efficient services.
  6. Maintain equilibrium between delivery and support, ensuring all stakeholders are involved in the decision-making process.
  7. Engage in Incident Response and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills:

  1. Proven experience as a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer.
  2. Proficient in Infrastructure as Code, particularly with Terraform, to design, configure, build, and enhance reliable and cost-effective Azure cloud systems.
  3. Demonstrated leadership in applying Infrastructure as Code principles, promoting version-controlled infrastructure code, and sharing best practices.
  4. Ability to execute scripting and configuration in complex provisioning and deployment scenarios.
  5. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams, fostering teamwork, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  6. Comprehensive understanding of networking, security concepts, and protocols in an API-centric environment.
  7. Experience with containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes.
  8. Skilled in Agile methodologies and tools.
  9. Establish and optimize CI/CD processes and techniques within an Azure DevOps environment utilizing ADO pipelines.
  10. Strong grasp of availability and stability design patterns.
  11. Extensive expertise in tools and products such as Azure Cloud, Service Bus, Event Grid, Istio, Key Vault, Mongo DB, and SQL.
